Darwin es un socio de la ventanilla rural Progreso Comunitario, que está ubicada a dos horas de Chillanes. Son 11 socios en total, que en la mayoridad se dedican al cultivo de cacao o tienen sus propios pequeños negocios.

Darwin trabaja en el campo como jornalero y cultiva en los terrenos de sus papas el cacao. Hace las compras y las ventas de sus productos en Babahoyo y Mata de Cacao.

Solicita el crédito para invertir en poras de cacao. Con el apoyo del préstamo podría mejorar su producción agrícola. Su sueno es comprar una casa y tener unos huertos de cacao propios. Sus cultivos han sido afectados por la enfermedad ¨escoba del brujo¨ este ano.
