Madina N. is 37 years old and lives in the town of Nasana, in the Kampala east region of Uganda. She is married and has 4 children. Madina has a business of a salon, which she has had for 3 years.
To help expand her business, Madina has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase oil treatment for hair and braids. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Madina hopes to generate greater profits and to buy food. In the future, Madina hopes to own a house.
