El Centro Focal de Santiago II es un centro focal mediano que acoge a cerca cien asociaciones comunales. “Cruz del Sur”, es una de ellas, está en su quinto ciclo, de nueve integrantes ocho son mujeres y uno es varón.

La señora Paulina es la presidenta, la señora Filomena es la secretaria de actas y la señora Bertha es la tesorera de la asociación. El negocio en el que participa la señora secretaria de actas, es la venta de repuestos de auto, desde hace 3 años. Ella comenta que fue su esposo quien le enseñó el negocio de vender repuestos de autos.

Su primera solicitud fue de $us 100.-, ahora solicitó Bs. 2000.- en ambos casos, su objetivo era la compra de mercadería. Las ventas son realizadas en la Feria de la zona 16 de Julio, los jueves y domingo, durante el día. Le ayuda en el trabajo su esposo.

Cuando se le consulta sobre lo que le gusta más de Pro Mujer, la señora comenta que la capacitación.
