The name of this group is "Tolcayuca in Action". The name was chosen for the enterprising women members and for the location of the group. The municipality is known for the businesses that are run mostly by young women, each with a tremendous will to improve the quality of life for their children and their family. The members' plan is to have the women on that municipality to have steady work, and to bring renewed development to the region. The members of the group all are originally from the State of Hidalgo. There are 11 members in the group.

The photo was taken in the house Maria Natividad G. V.. She is the treasurer of the group. A great harmony and collegiality exists among them. Natividad is 40 years old and she graduated high school. She is married and she has 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. She sells shoes through a catalogue and she has had the business for the past year. She requests a loan to invest in the purchase of shoes and new catalogues. Her wish is to not only sell shoes but also clothing to make more sales in less time. Her clients comment that Natividad is a very kind person and she provides great customer service. She sells her products at an accessible price and offers flexibility in payment methods, in cash or in credit with weekly payments, depending on the clients' situation.

When she applied for the loan she was very happy to have the opportunity to improve her sales and to strive towards her dream of supporting her son as he readies for a career in Baseball. He currently plays in a league and his hard work has granted him a scholarship. He will continue his studies and his scholastic endeavors,

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
