Hot Y., 40, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Seim Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for Angkorean Temples. Y. provides services of protecting vehicles for an income of USD 4 per day. Her husband is in the military, earning an income of about USD 4 per day. The family has to spend USD 60 on food, USD 10 on public transportation, and USD 40 on children’s education every month. Y. is requesting a loan of USD 800 to purchase a motorbike to commute to work. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
