"Kory Chuymas" is the name of the community association that is about to start its ninth cycle in the Santiago II center. Their name has origins in Aymara, a native language of the Andean area and means "Heart of Gold." 14 women are members of this association.

The president is Mrs. Remedios. She has worked for two years with "Pro Mujer". Her business is selling aprons. The aprons are made by her and she sells them in different markets on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. Her business has grown. She notes that her first loan was for Bs. 1000 and currently she is requesting Bs. 5500. This money has been and will be used to purchase fabric. She learned this business from a friend twenty years ago.

With respect to the businesses in the association, they are varied. Among them we have: selling baby clothing, neighborhood shop, selling food, selling clothing, selling cosmetics, a fruit stand, painted fabric, woven rugs, making tablecloths, a cafeteria, selling salchipapas (hot dogs), selling pasankalla (a sweet dish).

“KORY CHUYMAS” es el nombre de la asociación comunal que está por iniciar su noveno ciclo en el centro focal Santiago II. Su nombre es de origen Aymara, idioma propio del área andina y quiere decir “Corazón de Oro”. Integran esta asociación catorce mujeres.

La presidenta es la señora Remedios, ella ya trabaja dos años con Pro Mujer, su negocio es la venta de mandiles. Los mandiles son elaborados por ella misma y los vende en diferentes ferias, los días miércoles y jueves de 9:30 de la mañana a 4 de la tarde.
Su negocio ha crecido, comenta que su primer crédito fue de Bs. 1000.-, y que actualmente ha solicitado Bs.5500.-, este dinero ha sido y será utilizado para la compra de tela. Aprendió este negocio de una amiga hace 20 años.

Con respecto a los negocios dentro de la asociación, son variados, entre ellos tenemos: venta de ropa de bebé, tienda de barrio, venta de comida, venta de ropa, venta de cosméticos, puesto de fruta, pintura en tela, tejido de tapetes, confección de manteles, venta de ropa, cafetería, venta de salchipapas, venta de pasankalla.
