Deo Ssemppuga is 41 years old and lives in the town of Kyotera in the Masaka region of Uganda. He is married and has seven children. Five of his children are currently in school. Deo has a business in food production, which he has had for five years.
To help expand his business, Deo has requested a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more fertilizers, fungicides and insecticides for the crops. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Deo hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees. In the future, Deo hopes to buy a grinder.
