Elijah Kimeli K. is a 39-year-old businessman who sells dairy products like milk and also sells cattle to his customers at a profit. He is married to Emily Jepkemei, who is 32 years old, and they have no children at the moment but have four relatives that live with them. Elijah runs his business in Kapseret, ten kilometers from Eldoret town, and has been in this business for about four years.
Elijah was introduced to KADET by one of its credit officers and he has no history with any other micro-finance institution. He is applying for his first loan of Kshs 50,000 with KADET which he plans to use to purchase more cattle to sell later at a profit.
Elijah hopes to operate a large cattle farm, whereby he will be able to supply the best quality milk for his customers.
