To make a living, Agung Ayu owns and operates a business venture in traveling sales. She goes to the farmers and buys their cacao bean, banana fruit, jack fruit, coconuts, young coconut leaves, cassava and so on, and then sells them in the market. Agung Ayu has been in this business for over 10 years and earns approximately 250,000 Indonesian rupiah (IDR) a month.

In 2010, Agung Ayu joined MUK to gain access to financial services to help improve her living conditions and enable her to engage in business activities. She is now requesting a loan of 1,000,000 IDR which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This loan will be her first loan from MUK. Agung Ayu plans to use additional revenue to improve and expand her business.

Agung Ayu is the leader of a 15 member group accessing a loan offered by MUK. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.
