Ney Laurentino
Ney is 36 years old and lives in an urban area called “Las Orquídeas,” (The Orchids) named so because there were many orchids in the area when it was first discovered. He has a food stall where he sells “encebollado” (a typical Ecuadorean dish). He’s been cooking encebollado since he was very young, so that he could have his own business. With great effort, he obtained his food stall in a main commercialized zone. Little by little he’s been able to support his family. He works from 8:00 AM to midnight. Encebollado is made with fish, onions, and yucca and is a common breakfast food.

He wants to use the money from this loan to buy more fish and a freezer. In the future he wants to have a small eatery and become known in the food market.
