She has been operating her open-air food sales business for the last two years, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces the major challenge of high transport costs in her business.
With the Kshs 30,000, she wants to purchase rice, maize flour and wheat flour. She hopes that she will be able to make more profit and open a restaurant in the future.
Her major aim of working with Yehu is to obtain a loan to improve her business.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
