Adella O. T. lives in the Kamwokya neighborhood in the city of Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has two children who are in school. Adella has a retail shop. She has been in this business for nine years, and she works 7 days out of every week. Adella sells her products in a shop, by means of retail. Adella has requested for a loan of 1,200,000/= Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy more bags of sugar, cartons of salt, bags of rice, beans and maize flour. She also generates additional income through renting motorcycles.The main business challenges for Adella include transportation and the rainy season. Her goal and aspiration for her business is to get enough profit to buy a plot of land and build her own house. She decided to join MCDT because of small amount of interest charged. Adella lives in a home that she rents; she doesn't have access to electricity or piped water. Her major monthly expenses include rent, school fees, and food.
