Djoubo Group

The solidarity group DJUBOO was created about nine years ago. It is composed of nine women who are all from the same district. They formed their group according to their affinities and neighborhoods. The group is part of the Banc Villageois of KADIOR.

Ms. ROKHAYATOU S. (seated at the left in the photo) is the leader of the solidarity group. She is 52 years old, married, and the mother of six children to support. She makes and sells artisanal soaps. Her process involves the oil of wild fruit (called yeme) harvested in the forest. With her new loan, she is going to buy several drums of yeme oil in order to increase her production. Her goal in supporting her husband is to support the family.

Le groupe de solidarité DJUBOO est a vu le jour il y a de cela environs 09 ans. Il est composé de 09 femmes qui sont toutes issues du même quartier. Elles ont formé leur groupe par affinité et par voisinage. Le groupe fait partie du Banc Villageois de KADIOR.

Madame ROKHAYATOU S. assise à gauche sur la photo est responsable du groupe de solidarité. Elle est de 52 ans. Elle est mariée et mère de 6 enfants en charge.

Elle fait de la transformation et vente de savon artisanal. Elle fait la transformation à base d'huile de de fruits sauvages (appelé YEME) récolté dans la forêt.

Avec son nouveau crédit elle va acheter plusieurs fûts d'huile de "YEME" afin d'augmenter sa production.

Son objectif est de soutenir son mari dans la prise en charge de la famille.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
