Jeanne
Jeanne E. was born in 1979 in Houngomé, Benin and is married to Jespère Degan, a butcher. They have five children, all of whom are in school. For about 10 years, the family has lived in PK11, in the Sèmè-Podji commune in Benin. Jeanne never went to school. In order to meet her needs, as well as those of her family, Jeanne sells beverages through the distribution system. Jeanne gets her stock at Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. Jeanne has been doing this for 8 years. Jeanne's customer base has been growing more and more, and she would like to improve her business so she can meet her customers' demands better and make more money. This is why she is requesting her second loan through ALIDé. Her first loan was repaid in full.

E. Jeanne est née en 1979 à Houngomè au Bénin et est mariée à DEGAN Jespère, un boucher. Le couple a cinq enfants, tous scolarisés. Depuis une dizaine d'année, la famille s'est installée à PK11, dans la commune de Sèmè-Podji au Bénin. Jeanne n'a pas fréquenté l'école. Pour subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de sa famille, Jeanne vend des boissons par le système de distribution. Jeanne s'approvisionne à Dantokpa, marché international du Bénin. C'est depuis huit ans que Jeanne exerce cette activité. La clientèle de Jeanne s'agrandit de plus en plus, et Jeanne voudrait renforcer plus son activité pour mieux répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle et se faire plus de profits ; raison pour laquelle Jeanne sollicite un deuxième prêt de ALIDé. Son premier crédit a été bien remboursé.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
