Alexander is married, has two children and makes a living repairing shoes. He has been in this line of work for 10 years and earns about 7,000 Grivnas a month.
Alexander's business is located in his house, where he uses one room to do shoe repairs. Things are going well because he has no competition, loves his job and does it well.
Alexander is requesting a loan of 10,000 Grivnas to improve his workspace by fixing his roof and raising it so that he has more workspace.
About HOPE Ukraine
HOPE International, a Christian faith-based non-profit organization, has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. HOPE Ukraine was the organization’s first international venture. In addition to its core microfinance activities, HOPE also supports an active children's ministry in Ukraine in the form of “Tomorrow Clubs,” after-school programs that teach children the gospel through games, skits and songs.
