Madame President had a business weaving blankets on order. Sales as well as production took place at her home. She more or less started the business when she joined Pro Mujer for the first time, that is to say, she’s been in this line of work for 4 years. Her first loan was for Bs.500 that she used to buy wool to make the blankets.

The current loan request is for Bs.2000 to start another business: Salchipapas sales (fast food consisting of fried potatoes with pieces of fried sausage and dressings like mayonnaise, mustard and llajua, a spicy tomato and chili sauce).

With respect to her history with Pro Mujer, she’s been in her association for over four years.

The members of the “Pocitos” communal bank have a variety of businesses among which are: food sales, salchipapas sales, cosmetics sales, shoe sales, blanket weaving and sales.

La asociación comunal “Pocitos”, es un grupo que está iniciando el ciclo número 11, consta de ocho integrantes, a la cabeza se encuentra la señora Teodora como presidenta, la señora Valentina como tesorera y la señora Clara como Secretaria de Actas.

La señora presidenta, tuvo como negocio el tejido de mantas a pedido. La venta se realizaba en su domicilio, lo mismo que la producción. Más o menos comenzó su negocio cuando ingresó a Pro Mujer por primera vez, es decir que ya tiene cuatro años en el rubro. Su primer crédito fue de Bs.500.- con el que compro lana para elaborar las mantas. Su solicitud actual es de Bs. 2000.- para iniciar otro negocio, que es la venta de “Salchipapas” (comida rápida, compuesta de papas fritas, trozos de salchichas fritas y aderezos como mayonesa, mostaza, llajua.

Con respecto a su permanencia en Pro Mujer, ella ya está más de cuatro años en su asociación.

Las integrantes de la A.C. “Pocitos” tienen diferentes negocios, entre ellos: venta de comida, venta de salchipapas, venta de cosméticos, venta de calzados, tejido y venta de mantas
