Jacinta is 53 years old and a single mother of three. She has been raising her children with income from her rental houses. She rents the houses to low-income earners. Because she is a single mother with all her children in college, she sells charcoal to increase her family's income. She has been renting the houses for four years and she hopes to build better houses for more income. Currently, she wants to renovate her houses hence she is requesting a loan of 40,000 Kenyan shillings (KES) from Faulu Kenya. In five years, she hopes to buy a piece of land.
