This committee was formed in the San Rafael neighborhood of the city of Caaguazú. Having the necessary number of women ready to move ahead, they decided to participate in the "Women Entrepreneurs' Committee" program. They are 17 (seventeen) humble and very hard-working women.

The group met with great enthusiasm with the aim of forming a communal bank, where the responsibility is shared and the work is teamwork. They all have independent businesses, such as selling clothes, selling shoes, selling food, operating a neighborhood store, selling fruits and vegetables, etc.

Ada Noelia's work is selling perfumes and colognes. She has a good clientele, thanks to her good service and the variety of her products in terms of price and quality as well as fragrance.

She would like to increase her income by buying her merchandise wholesale and thus reducing the price she pays for it. Taking into account the arrival of the new [Southern Hemisphere] spring season, she will acquire a greater variety of fragrances suitable for the season. She is requesting the loan to carry out this plan.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
