The community bank named "Faith and Happiness of Huancalle" has been running for four years and it is maD. up of hard working and entrepreneurial members, looking for opportunities to get ahead and to proviD. a better future for their children. The community bank meetings are held every thirty days in Mari Luz's house, located in the community of Huancalle in the district and province of Taray and Calca, in Cusco. The majority of the members are agriculturists and farmers.

When we visited the community bank we interviewed Maria Luz. She is 33 years old and she was born in the community of Cora, in the district of San Sebastian. Maria Luz currently lives in the community of Huancalle together with her husband and their two children. She has been living in that community for the past 7 years and she is an agriculturist. She sells vegetables in the markets of Huancaro in the city of Cusco. She can be found on Saturdays at her stand from 8 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon. Maria Luz also makes her sales in the markets of Rosaspata, Wanchaq and Cacaparo on Mondays and Fridays. Maria Luz studied to be a nurse and she was elected to be the health promoter in the community, giving talks on nutrition, hygiene, and may other topics.

Maria Luz requests a loan in the amount of S/.800 nuevos soles. She would like to use the loan to renovate her home and purchase new doors and new windows. Maria Luz is one of the founding members of the community bank and she was elected as the secretary of the bank because she is a very punctual and responsible person.

El banco comunal “Fe y Alegría D. Huancalle” se encuentra funcionando 4 años y está conformado por personas trabajadoras y emprendedoras que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Las reuniones del banco comunal son cada treinta días en la casa D. la señora Mari Luz en al comunidad D. Huancalle distrito D. Taray provincia D. Calca del departamento del Cusco. La comunidad D. Huancalle se encuentra ubicado a 30 minutos D. la ciudad del Cusco por la pista asfáltica. La mayoría D. los socios se dedican a la agricultura y ganadería.

Al visitar el banco comunal hemos entrevistado a la Sr. Maria Luz y tiene 33 años, ella nació en la comunidad D. Corao distrito D. San Sebastián. Actualmente, Maria Luz vive en la comunidad D. Huancalle junto con su esposo y sus dos hijos. Hace 7 años que vive en la comunidad donD. se dedica a la agricultura, ella venD. verduras en el mercado D. Huancaro D. la ciudad del Cusco. La pueden encontrar los días sábados en su puesto D. venta, desD. las 8 D. la mañana hasta las 2 D. la tarD.. Maria luz también venD. en el mercado D. Rosaspata, Wanchaq y Cascaparo D. lunes a viernes. Maria luz estudio enfermería y en asamblea los dirigentes D. la comunidad a Maria Luz la designaron como promotora D. salud D. la comunidad para que pueD. dar charlas D. nutrición, higiene y muchos temas más.

Con su próximo préstamo Maria Luz Luis que espera recibir S/. 800 nuevos soles. Le gustaría emplear el dinero del préstamo para refaccionar su casa desea comprar puertas y ventanas. Maria Luz es una D. los socios fundadores del banco comunal y fue elegida como secretaria del banco comunal porque es una persona puntual y responsable.

Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru.
