Pork S., 44, is married and lives with her four children in Takeo province. She is a farmer, who works for less than US$1 each day, while her husband is a musician, making US$2 each day. The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year and inflation has caused food prices to skyrocket. These factors have played into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Pork S. included. Pork S. is asking for a loan of US$600 to purchase a motorbike for her family transportation.
