Hortensia
View original language description ↓
Hortensia T., married mother of four children, belongs to the Villazón de Villa Association. Before she had a kiosk where she sold sweets and candies on the edge of the city of El Alto, which helped her establish contacts for selling products that she makes of vicuña wool, including sweaters, shawls, and others. Two years ago she stopped selling candies to focus exclusively on exporting vicuña wool, primarily to the Norwegian Mission, one of the most important buyers of this product. Currently Hortensia is one of the most important providers of this raw material, which is why she needs additional cash to increase her export volume. Only by doing so will she be able to increase her income and ensure the well being of her children, establishing a prosperous business she will be able to leave to her heirs.
