Mrs. Thioro D. is a 42-year-old woman who lives in the neighborhood of Tonghor, in Yoff. She is married with two children, aged 12 and 18.

Mrs. D. is engaged in a commercial activity chosen out of a 25-year passion to avoid being marginalized due to her disability. Therefore, she has been selling ice and juice ever since, but she has also been working as a hairdresser from her home for over 30 years. What motivates her most about her work is being included in the social environment and avoiding idleness.

She has been a member of the Yoff credit union since June 2005 and has been granted two previous loans. She is requesting a loan of 500,000 francs, which she will use to buy a second refrigerator. The remainder of the loan will allow her to hold a small Tabaski ceremony.

Mrs. D. wishes to improve her family’s living conditions by increasing her sales and profits, especially during the holiday season. Her goal is to satisfy the increasing demand of her customers.
