Pelagie is 30 years old and has five children, one of which is adopted. Her children are between the ages of 1 and 10 years of age. She is married to a businessman. Three of her children are in primary school, one is in secondary school, and the last does not attend school due to the inability to pay school fees.
Pelagie sells food crops and with the loan she hopes increase her inventory. She used to sell both malt and other food stuffs, but since she gave birth to twins she has decided to only sell food stuffs. She has a large clientele, because she is the only wholesaler in her neighborhood.
