Caritas
Caritas is a 51-year-old-widow and mother of seven children ranging in age from 7 to 28 years old. Three of her children are in school, including one who is in college. Though a mother of seven, she is able to afford health insurance for the entire family.

Caritas is a farmer who grows eggplants, tomatoes, and bell peppers for sale, and she also sells produce grown by other local farmers. She plans to use the loan to increase the amount she buys from local farmers, intending to invest the profits in her business. Eventually Caritas hopes to build a store from which to sell her items, and in the meantime strives to pay off her loans and qualify for larger loan amounts in the future.
