Speciose is 34 years old and married with four children. Her children are 3, 6, 8, and 10 years old and her three eldest are in school. She and her husband have been able to afford health insurance for the entire family. They also keep a reserve of money for illnesses not covered by the insurance.

Speciose buys handicrafts and sells them in the market. Her husband assists her with this job. They have been doing this business for 7 years and have become known for selling high quality goods. With the loan she plans to increase the amount of handicrafts they sell. She eventually hopes to be able to hire staff to assist her in the business. Her goal is to save enough to construct a house to live and work in. Also she hopes to save money to give to her children.
