Mr. Benedicto Solís López is 28 years old and has been living with Mrs. Emeteria Robles Urey for more than 12 years. They have 4 dependent children who attend an elementary school in the rural community. The main activity here is agriculture. He grows potatoes on 2 hectares (20,000 square meters) in the Liquintaya area. They live 56 km from the city and to come all the way to the banks to request a loan is very difficult.

Field Partner Cidre took the initiative to go to rural areas. Mr. Benedicto Solís López needed money to buy organic fertilizer to sow in this agricultural countryside. Benedicto tells us he has little land to sow on but others have large amounts of land that they are offering him to work on. To be able to do that he needs materials to sow and grow more potatoes to make a highest possible profit which will allow him to save up money to buy his own land and let his children study.
