The main activity is agriculture. They grow potatoes, papaliza, and beans on their 2.5 hectares of land in the community of Pie de Gallo. His wife helps in the farming, taking care of cattle and the house.

Mr. Feliciano H. Jiménez and his family live in the rural community of Pie de Gallo, 62 km from the city. Because of this it is very hard for them to go to the bank for a money loan. El Cidre had the initiative of going to this rural area.

Mr. Feliciano H. needs the money to buy agricultural materials. He tells us that he has to renew the seed every three years, because the seed has an illness and in order to plant in new lots new, healthy seed has to be used. For this reason, the harvest this year has been low and the prices have gone down. That is the reason he doesn't have enough money to buy materials. With the new seed, production will go up and his income will improve.
