The Community Bank "Women in Action" are currently on their 7th loan cycle. The group is maD. up of very hard working individuals that are always on the lookout for opportunities for success. With their daily efforts they hope to proviD. a better future for their children. The Community Bank meetings are held every 30 days in the home of Florentina, a member of the bank, located in the community of Phiry, Ollantaytambo. The community of Phiry is located 2 hours from the city of Cusco. The majority of the population are farmers.

Soledad is 25 yaers old and she has a won. She was born in the city of Ollantaytambo but she currently lives in the community of Phiry. Eight years ago Soledad opened a restaurant in her house where she sells foods to her neighbours. Soledad also raises livestock such as guinea pigs, for consumption.

The loan she has requested is in the amount of S/300 soles. At the moment her restaurant is modestly stocked with the basic necessities. She would like to invest the funds to purchase ingredients such as rice, sugar, spaghetti and various other items. The dream of this member is to become a successful business woman and would like to operate several franchise locales in the city of Ollantaytambo.

Soledad is one of the founding members of this Community Bank and she has been elected as secretary of the group because she is very punctual and responsible. She has been in this position various times before and it has worked out very well thanks to her charisma and positive outlook.

El banco comunal “Mujeres en Acción” actualmente se encuentra en el VII ciclo y está conformado por personas trabajadoras y emprendedoras que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Las reuniones del banco comunal son cada treinta días en la casa D. la socia Florentina que está ubicado en la comunidad D. Phiry, Ollantaytambo. La comunidad D. Phiry se encuentra a dos horas D. la ciudad del Cusco. La mayoría D. los pobladores se dedica a la agricultura y la ganadería.

Soledad, tiene 25 años y tiene un hijo, ella nació en la ciudad D. Ollantaytambo y actualmente vive en la comunidad D. Phiry. Hace ocho años atrás, Soledad abrió un restaurante, en su domicilio, donD. venD. comida a sus vecinos. Soledad también se dedica a la crianza D. animales menores como por ejemplo cuyes pero para consumo.

Con su próximo préstamo, Soledad espera recibir S/. 300 soles. Por el momento, su restaurante esta modestamente implementado con las necesidades básicas. Le gustaría emplear el dinero para comprar más insumos como por ejemplo arroz, azúcar, fideos y muchas cosas más. El sueño D. la socia es convertirse en una prospera empresaria y desea abrir varios restaurantes en la ciudad D. Ollantaytambo.

Soledad es una D. las socias fundadoras del banco comunal y la escogieron como la secretaria porque es una persona puntual y responsable. Ya son varias veces que está en el cargo y le va muy bien gracias al carisma y buena voluntad que tiene.
