Susan C. lives in the village of Jang in Camiguin Province. She is 48 years old, single and makes a living by running a shop where she sells a variety of foods which are popular in her area. She has been in this line of work for more than three years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP a month.
Earlier this year, Susan joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her life and ability to engage in business. She is applying for her first loan, for 4,000 PHP, to expand her business. She plans to use the additional revenue made possible by this loan to continue to expand her business.
HSPFI is one of accredited partners of Opportunity International in the Philippines. It is based in Cagayan de Oro City and is reaching out to the poor households of Northern Mindanao.
