Rosie E. is from the village of Tipolohon, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. She is 31 years old, married and has two school-aged children. To make a living, Rosie owns and operates a specialized retail store, buying and selling onions in the local community. She also has a little vegetable farm. Rosie has been in business for over five years and earns approximately 5000 PHP a month.
In 2010, Rosie joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a new loan of 4000 PHP to purchase additional products to sell. She plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve her business.
HSPFI is one of accredited partners of Opportunity International in the Philippines. It is based in Cagayan de Oro City and is reaching out to the poor households of Northern Mindanao.
