George T. is an individual client of Pearl Microfinance from Rukungiri. He is 52 years old and married with eight children, four of whom are still in school. George is in the business of agriculture and has banana plantations. However, as another source of income, he sells coffee, beans, sweet potatoes and cassava that he buys from other farmers and takes to the market.
George needs a loan to be able to buy manure, mulch and stake poles for his plantations so that they give him better produce. He has been in the farming business for 15 years and he inherited it from his late father. It is because of his hard work that he is where he is right now.
His plan is to expand his agriculture business and build a permanent house for his family.
