Ainagul A. is 47 years old and was born in the south of Kyrgyzstan in a large family; her father was an actor and her mother was a schoolteacher. Unfortunately, in 1964, when Ainagul was one year old, her parents died in a car accident and Ainagul grew up at her grandmother’s house, helping her in the household: she milked cows and pastured the cattle.

From her childhood, Ainagul was eager to study and, after graduating from secondary school, she intended to pursue her studies through higher education. However, when Ainagul was 23, she was given into marriage.

Ainagul and her husband moved to the capital, Bishkek, where she graduated from Bishkek Humanities University with a degree with honors. Ainagul and her husband returned to the south of the country where Ainagul got a job as a researcher at Osh State University. In 1996, Ainagul divorced her husband. Some years later, Ainagul, being a very whole-hearted and persistent woman, adopted two little girls, who are presently 8 and 11 years old.

In 2004, Ainagul and her daughters moved to Belovodskoe village near the capital. It was the beginning of a new life which led Ainagul to start up her business. With an investment of only 6,000 Kyrgyz Soms, Ainagul started to sell foodstuffs at a local market in 2006. After four years, she already owns her own little shop. Recently, she also bought two milk cows and began cattle-breeding.

Ainagul will use this loan of 100,000 Kyrgyz Soms to further broaden the range of the food products in her shop and to buy one more cow. With the revenues, she plans to renovate her shop and to give a good education to her daughters. As for Ainagul, she intends to get a driving license this year.
