Yudaya is widowed with six children and all her children go to school. She also takes acre of additional family members (grand-children). She owns a stall in Bwaise market selling bananas. She has been in this banana business for a very long time and buys bunches of bananas from delivery vans which get them from villages. She doesn’t incur any transport costs as she buys from her place of work.
Yudaya wants to use this loan to buy more bunches of bananas. Her customers are the nearby community. She works in a semi-urban area and works seven days a week. Her business challenges include the rainy season and thieves. She is aspiring of seeing her business grow big and starting going directly to farmers. She decided to work with MCDT because of low interest charged. She resides in and owns a house but the family has no access to electricity or piped water. Her monthly expenses include food, school fees, and medication.
