Ragheda is a 37-year-old mother who has a son, Wadei, who is two years old. Ragheda's husband owns a small store. Aala Din, Ragheda's husband, sells stationary, gifts, dolls, books, notebooks and other school supplies. Ala Din's store is next to a girls' school in Dir Al-Balah.
Ragheda and her husband need more new items for the store, so she took a $1,000 loan to buy the items and to prepare for the new school year.
Ala Din appears in the picture, because Raghida didn't approve of having her picture published.
