Peter is a 47 year old married man with two school-aged children. He works as a welder for a living. Peter has twelve years of experience in the business and has two employees. He was formerly employed and decided to go into business on his own in order to earn more income. Peter is a member of the Waybridge group in Faulu Kenya. Since he joined the group and received a loan of 20,000 KES, he has been able to set up a workshop. He is now asking for a loan of 50,000 KES to buy scrap metal.
