Yorng S., 30, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, an area known for rubber plantation. S. is a farmer, earning an income of USD 2 per day. Her husband produces palm sugar to sell for an income of USD 3 per day. S. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase stones to manufacture small mills, traditionally used as a kitchen utensil. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia. S.'s husband appears in the photograph because she was not available.
