Sem M., 61, grows and sells vegetables in the local market of Takeo province. She is married and lives with one of her children and her husband, who is a wedding chef. She typically makes about US$2 each day.
The son who lives with her is a phone repairer. To expand his business, Sem M. would like to take out a loan of US$1,000 to purchase some tools that her son requires to fix phones.
