Pauline W. G. is twenty-nine years old. She is married and has two children, aged nine years old and three and a half years old.
Pauline hawks clothes at the Kihunguru area in Thika town. Thika is the region in Kenya known for production of pineapples. She sells clothes like shirts, trousers, and pullovers to the local people. She says that this business is profitable and the only major challenge she has is the high prices for clothes, which makes the resale price higher. However, she works very hard to keep her business doing well.
Pauline is using her loan of Kes 20,000 to buy more shirts, jackets, trousers and pullovers to expand her business. In the future, she hopes to have a very well-established business. She describes herself as hardworking and innovative.
