Kasifa is a single mother of two children and her children go to school. She also takes care of her mother and her grand children. She owns a stall in Kalerwe market selling second hand clothes. Kasifa wants to use this loan to buy more bales of second hand clothes. She buys bales of clothes from Owino market, one of the busiest markets in Uganda, and uses public transport to and from shopping. She has been in this clothing business for ten years. Besides this clothing business she sells piped water from her home.
Kasifa stays in Mulago Zone in Kawempe Division and works six days a week. Her business challenges include transportation and defaulters. She aspires to buy a plot of land. She decides to join MCD T to acquire enough capital for her clothing business. Kasifa resides in and owns a four roomed house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expense includes food and school fees.
