Kelly Del Carmen
Kelly Rodríguez, a young 30-year-old lady who lives in the Municipio de Puerto Colombia, has a restaurant called "Mi restaurante", and she needs a loan from Kiva to buy supplies, kitchen utensils, and adapt her stove for natural gas so not to continue cooking with charcoal. This business began when she and her husband were out of work and found this activity as an alternative to obtain income as a relative helped them with the first $500.000 COP. Their restaurant has been working for a year and is very popular as the brunches are prepared with rich flavor and incomparable quality.

Kelly has received two loans from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and the investment has been very positive as they have allowed her to increase her income and remodel her dwelling little by little. Now she dreams of remodelling her small restaurant and make it comfortable and cozy in order to receive more clients from Puerto Colombia. Her main challenge is the competition, she must always be prepared to face it as food businesses are popular as this area is an important tourist harbour.
