Joseph is a married man with two girls, nine and three years old, who both attend school.
Joseph has been operating his meat goat business for the last seven years and with the Kshs 40,000, he wants to purchase five goats for meat sale. He does farming as his other source of livelihood and sells fruit. His main customers are the neighboring community and passersby.
Joseph faces the major challenges of seasonality and high transport costs. He rents a house with no electricity nor piped water and his greatest monthly expenses are food, school fees and rent.
Joseph hopes that someday he will open a retail business. He joined Yehu so as to access loans and improve his business.
