Tièssiri is a group of women of Koutiala who know each other well and they live in traditional big families with their husbands, children and other parents. They are on average 33 years old with at least 3 children.

This group of women trade in various articles such as fruit juices and vegetables, clothing and shoes etc.

To increase the scope of their activities, the members decided to join the credit program Soro Yiriwaso 2 years ago.

They are on their third group loan and all the preceding loans were properly repaid.

Fanta S. is a member of the Tièssiri group which sells cold drinks (fruit juice, local drinks containing jujube, roselle, tamarind, lemon etc)

She intends to use her loan to buy, the day before the month of Lent, a large quantity of ingredients: roselle , tamarind, jujube, lemon, many flavours etc she gets in the large market of Koutiala.

She sells her drinks from the house, and in the neighborhoods, for cash to various and varied customers.

While the members of the Tièssiri group intend to borrow an average of 90.000FCFA each during this cycle, Fanta S. intends to borrow 120.000FCFA.

In addition to the refunding of the loans, they use part of the income to meet the current expenses of the family.

They wish to see this partnership with Soro Yiriwaso grow so that stocks are not scarce.

Tièssiri est un regroupement de femmes de Koutiala qui se connaissent bien et elles vivent dans de grandes familles traditionnelles avec leurs maris, enfants et autres parents. Elles ont en moyenne 33 ans et au moins 3 enfants.
Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce d’articles divers tels, les jus de fruits et légumes, les habits et chaussures etc.
Pour augmenter la taille de leurs activités, les membres ont décidé d’intégrer le programme crédit de Soro Yiriwaso il y a 2 ans. Elles sont à leur troisième prêt de groupe et tous les prêts précédents ont été bien remboursés.
Fanta S. est un membre du groupe Tièssiri qui vend des boissons fraîches (jus de fruits, boissons locales à base de jujube, de dah, de tamarin, de citron etc.
Elle compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter, à la veille du mois de carême, une importante quantité d’ingrédients : dah rouge, tamarin, jujube, citron beaucoup d’arômes etc.
Elle se procure dans le grand marché de Koutiala. Elle vend ses boissons à la maison, dans les quartiers, au comptant à une clientèle diverse et variée. Tandis que Les membres du groupe Tièssiri comptent réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 90 000FCFA chacune au cours de ce cycle, Fanta S. compte réaliser 120 000FCFA.
En plus du remboursement des prêts, elles utilisent une partie du revenu pour faire face aux dépenses courantes de la famille.
Elles souhaitent voir renforcer ce partenariat avec Soro Yiriwaso pour que les stocks ne soient pas rares.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
