Mrs. Phavy C. is 41 years old. She is a farmer who owns a small piece of land to grow crops to sell to support her family. She faces an obstacle in that her field is infertile. So, to improve production, Mrs. Phavy C. is asking for a loan to buy fertilizer.

She is a widow with six children, three of whom are seamstresses in a garment factory, while the others are studying in the local public school.
