Kanizan's Group
In this Group: Kanizan , Bashiran, Zubaida
Kanizan is a wife of M. A., living in a city named Arifwala, in Pakistan. She owns a small house of two rooms and has been living in it with her family for over 15 years. She has given birth to six children: four sons and two daughters. All of her kids are enrolled in a local school and are getting an education. Kanizan is a caring and supportive lady. She manages the children's education expenses with her embroidery business.

Her husband has been a rickshaw driver for five years. In his years of experience, he has not been able to buy his own rickshaw because he was the only breadwinner of his family. But now his wife Kanizan helps him by making embroidered dresses on order.

Kanizan is applying for a loan from Asasah to purchase a rickshaw for her husband. By being the owner of his own rickshaw her husband will work more efficiently and earn more income.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
