Ms. T. Marcelline was born in 1977 and is married to Mr. AGBOGBE Virgile, a mechanic. The couple have two children who are both in school. About ten years ago, she settled in the Fidjrossè district in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, where she lives with her husband and children. The couple share in covering their different family expenses.
Marcelline did not attend school. For about eight years, she has been selling various goods (clothing for children, undergarments, flip-flop sandals, cassava flour, etc.) out of her home. She purchases her goods at Dantokpa, the international market of Benin.
She has already had two loans, which were repaid. With the goal of bolstering her business and growing her customer base, Marcelline is requesting a third loan from ALIDé in order to make more profit.

Dan le but de renforcer son activité et d’accroître sa clientèle, pour se faire plus de profits, Marcelline sollicite un troisième prêt de ALIDé.
Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.
Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
