Raya M. is a math teacher with 30 years of experience teaching in the local school. She lives in a small city called Agarak in one of the remote South regions of Armenia, Meghri. Unfortunately, a teacher’s salary is not enough to make ends meet for a family of four: 26-year-old son, husband and mother-in-law. In the city there is a high unemployment rate, but a farm business helps the family have some stable income. Both husband and son are involved in their small farm, and for a start they already have some livestock. With the requested loan the family plans to increase the livestock and purchase cattle food.
