Gladys is married to an engineer. They have four children and all her children go to school. She also takes care of her old father.
She sells local gin at her home in Kisaasi and sells to all categories of peoples but on a retail basis. Besides this bar business, she owns a salon in Kisaasi and wants to use this loan to buy more jerry cans of local gin. She has been in this business for two years. Her customers are the neighboring community. Her business challenges are seasonality and defaulters. She aspires to buy a plot of land.
Gladys resides in and owns a two-roomed house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. She joined MCDT because they loan to women who are in groups with no securities. Her monthly expenses includes food, utility bills and school fees.
