In 2010, Dewa Ayu Ketut joined MUK to gain access to financial services to help improve her living conditions and enable her to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan from MUK for the first time. She is requesting a loan of 1,000,000 IDR which will be used to purchase livestock to raise and sell in the future. Dewa Ayu Ketut plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.

Dewa Ayu Ketut is the leader of a ten member group accessing a loan offered by MUK. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.
