Margaret is married with five children and all her children go to school. Margaret doesn’t take care of any additional family members. She owns a bar selling all types of drinks such as beer and local gin. She buys crates of beer from delivery vans and local gin from suppliers who get it from villages.
Margaret wants to use this loan to buy more crates of beer and jerrycans of local gin. She has been in this business for seven years. Besides this bar business she also owns a restaurant which adds to her income. Her customers are the local people.
Margaret works seven days a week. Her business challenges include debtors and thieves. She is aspiring of educating her children up to university. She decided to work with MCDT to get additional capital. Margaret resides in and rents a two-roomed house and the family has access to electricity but no piped water.
