Zenobia is the president. She is 41 years old, she is married and has 2 children aged 7 and 14 who go to school.
Thirteen years ago she started selling salchipapas (sliced pan-fried beef hot dogs or sausage and French fries), known as “Salchipapas Zenobia”. Before she started this business she used to work in a restaurant as waitress; then she got pregnant but lost her baby, so her husband encouraged her to gain independence and to open her small shop. With the effort of her daily work she has succeeded in improving her house and in helping educating her two children, as her income covers the expenses of their enrollment fees and educational services. Zenobia’s big dream is to set a shop in her own house. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy an awning, chairs and tables for her shop.
All of our members are thankful for the support granted by the investors and they all commit to paying within the specified periods.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
